Summary

Existing community mental health centers already providing mobile crisis services must add this specialty by June 1, 2024, to avoid claim payment disruptions.
Action Required
By June 1, 2024: Providers currently enrolled as community mental health centers who provide mobile crisis services must add provider specialty 622 (Mobile Crisis Unit) to their IHCP enrollment. New mobile crisis units must enroll as provider type 11 with specialty 622 and have required documentation including IRS W-9, FEIN, NPI, and signed DMHA Agency Designation Agreement. Failure to add the specialty by the deadline will result in claim payment disruptions for mobile crisis services.
