Summary
IHCP identified that anesthesia claims for January 2024 services were paid using the incorrect 2023 conversion factor ($16.26) instead of the 2024 factor ($20.13). The system has been corrected and claims will be automatically mass adjusted with higher payments appearing on remittance advices starting July 24, 2024.
Action Required
Starting July 24, 2024: Billing team should monitor remittance advices for adjusted anesthesia claims with ICNs/Claim IDs beginning with 52 (mass replacements). Verify that January 2024 anesthesia claims that adjudicated between Jan 1-13, 2024 receive proper reprocessed payments at the correct 2024 conversion factor rate. No action needed - adjustments are automatic.
