Summary
Indiana Medicaid has fixed claim processing issues for HCPCS code T2003 (nonmedical transportation for Child Mental Health Wraparound facility-based respite care) that were incorrectly denied. Previously denied claims will be automatically reprocessed or can be resubmitted by providers.
Action Required
Beginning October 23, 2024: Monitor remittance advices for automatically adjusted or reprocessed T2003 claims with ICNs/Claim IDs starting with 52 (mass replacements) or 80 (reprocessed denied claims). Alternatively, billing team can resubmit previously denied T2003 claims for Child Mental Health Wraparound transportation services. Verify claims use proper modifiers: HA (Child/Adolescent Program) plus U1 (Basic) and UB (Base Trip) for base rate ($30.02) or U1 alone for mileage ($1.36/mile).
