Immediately: Billing team should verify G0296 claims for dates of service January 1, 2024 and later are being processed correctly. For Indiana Medicaid patients ages 50-80, bill G0296 for lung cancer screening counseling without prior authorization. Previously denied claims will be automatically reprocessed by October 30, 2024, or can be resubmitted within 90 days (managed care) or 180 days (fee-for-service) with copy of bulletin attached.
