Summary
Effective January 1, 2025, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) in Indiana will have new prior authorization requirements processed by Acentra Health instead of managed care entities. A 90-day grace period allows PA requests up to 7 days after service start, and MRO package requirements are eliminated for CCBHC providers.
Action Required
By January 1, 2025: CCBHC providers must contact Acentra Health (866-725-9991, fax 800-261-2774, or Atrezzo Provider Portal) to notify of outstanding authorizations and submit PA requests for CCBHC services. Stop creating MRO packages through DARMHA database. Update billing workflows to submit PAs to Acentra Health instead of managed care entities. Note: 7-day grace period for PA submissions expires March 31, 2025.
