Summary
Indiana Medicaid (IHCP) expanded age coverage for CPT code 90673 (recombinant influenza vaccine) from ages 18-49 to ages 18 and up, effective retroactively to September 1, 2024. Previously denied claims will be automatically reprocessed starting March 5, 2025.
Action Required
By April 14, 2025: Billing team can resubmit any previously denied claims for CPT 90673 for Indiana Medicaid members ages 50+ with service dates between Sept 1, 2024 and Dec 23, 2024. Include copy of bulletin BT202506 when submitting beyond standard filing limits. Update billing system to allow CPT 90673 for all Indiana Medicaid members ages 18 and up. Monitor for automatic claim adjustments with ICNs beginning with 52 or 80 starting March 5, 2025.
