Summary
BCBS Oklahoma introduced a new BlueCard Executive escalation process for high-value claims that are significantly overdue. Eligible providers can now escalate BlueCard claims worth $300,000+ that are 90+ days old, $500,000+ that are 60+ days old, or $1 million+ that are 45+ days old directly to a senior executive for resolution.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team should identify any open BlueCard claims meeting the escalation criteria ($300K+ and 90+ days old, $500K+ and 60+ days old, or $1M+ and 45+ days old). For eligible escalations, email the BlueCard Executive with claim number, member ID, date of service, patient name, and pertinent details. Only providers who are members of the Provider Multidistrict Litigation Settlement Class can use this process.
