Summary
The Texas Medicaid VDP has officially ended the 2025-2026 RSV season for all health service regions as scheduled. After the season end, Texas Medicaid and managed care organizations will no longer accept or review prior authorization requests for Synagis (RSV immunization).
Action Required
Immediately: Stop submitting prior authorization requests for Synagis (RSV immunization) to Texas Medicaid fee-for-service and Texas Medicaid MCOs. Update billing workflows to reflect that RSV season has ended and prior auths will not be accepted or reviewed. Contact vdp-formulary@hhsc.state.tx.us with any questions.
