Summary
CMS is discontinuing the legacy iQIES front-end user interface for manual assessment data entry and implementing OASIS-E2 updates effective April 1, 2026. Home Health agencies will no longer be able to manually input assessment data and must upload data in the correct format instead.
Action Required
By April 1, 2026: Home Health billing teams must transition from manual iQIES data entry to automated data upload systems. Download and implement the final OASIS-E2 Guidance Manual, instruments, and change table from the CMS OASIS pages. Update assessment workflows to ensure data is formatted correctly for upload. Failure to transition will prevent assessment data submission to CMS.
