Summary
Molina Healthcare of California now requires facility information to be included in all authorization requests submitted through the Availity Provider Portal. Providers must enter facility details in the Provider Notes section in addition to servicing provider information to prevent processing delays and claim denials.
Action Required
Immediately: All staff submitting authorization requests through Availity Provider Portal must include facility information in the Provider Notes section for every request. Update workflow to require both servicing/rendering provider details AND facility location information. Failure to include facility information will result in processing delays, denied authorization requests, and disruptions to patient care.
