Summary
Beginning November 1, 2024, EviCore by Evernorth will manage precertification for cardiac and vascular intervention procedures for Cigna Healthcare customers. Billing teams must use the CareCore portal for new vascular procedures and continue using MedSolutions portal for existing cardiovascular procedures.
Action Required
By November 1, 2024: Billing team must register for and begin using CareCore portal (accessible through EviCore.com/Provider) for precertification of new vascular intervention procedures. Contact 866.668.9250 for requests or fax to 855.774.1319. Continue using existing MedSolutions portal for current cardiovascular procedures requiring precertification. Attend EviCore orientation sessions in October/November to understand new process requirements. Failure to obtain precertification will result in claim denials.
