Effective October 23, 2026: Billing team and front-desk staff submitting prior authorizations to Alabama Medicaid should be trained on the updated web portal workflow, specifically: (1) note that submitter contact information (First Name, Last Name, Phone Number, Email) is now required ONLY when uploading a document rather than always; (2) recognize the new 20-line item limit per PA submission; (3) use the automatic NIPT section when PA Type is selected as NIPT; (4) access and print the barcode coversheet when faxing supporting documentation to ensure proper document matching to PA records.
