Summary
Cigna Healthcare has transitioned to digital correspondence delivery through their provider website for claims (effective June 20, 2024) and precertification communications (effective July 18, 2024). Providers registered on CignaforHCP.com will receive these communications digitally in the Messaging Center, while unregistered providers continue receiving paper letters.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team must register all provider TINs on CignaforHCP.com to access digital claim and precertification correspondence. Set up user accounts with appropriate entitlements ('Claim Search' for billing staff, 'Precertification - View and Submit' for authorization staff). Configure notification preferences in Settings & Preferences > Message Center Notifications to receive email alerts for new correspondence. Check Messaging Center daily for claim and precertification communications as digital messages are only stored for 2 years.
