Summary
Cigna Healthcare and Geisinger Health Plan have entered a collaboration effective June 2025, allowing Geisinger Health Plan members to access Cigna Healthcare PPO providers as in-network when receiving services outside of Pennsylvania's Geisinger service area. Claims for out-of-area services should be submitted to Cigna Healthcare with Payer ID 62308.
Action Required
By June 1, 2025: Billing team must update system to recognize Geisinger Health Plan ID cards (which will include Cigna Healthcare logo) and route out-of-area claims to Cigna Healthcare Medical Claims, PO Box 188061, Chattanooga, TN 37422-8061 with Payer ID 62308. Verify patient eligibility at 800.447.4000 or Geisinger.org/health-plan for services rendered outside Pennsylvania Geisinger service area.
