Summary
Connecticut's HUSKY Health program is updating its physician office and outpatient fee schedule effective October 1, 2026, to incorporate October 2026 HCPCS code changes (additions, deletions, and description updates) for HIPAA compliance. Additionally, claims for HCPCS code J1818 (pegzilarginase-nbln injection) must now be submitted with ICD-10-CM diagnosis code E722.1 (Argininemia) or they will be denied.
Action Required
Effective October 1, 2026: (1) Billing team must update billing software and fee schedule references to the October 2026 HCPCS changes by downloading the updated fee schedule from www.ctdssmap.com (Provider > Provider Fee Schedule Download). (2) For HCPCS code J1818 claims submitted to HUSKY Health programs (A, B, C, and D), billing team must ensure ICD-10-CM diagnosis code E722.1 is included on the claim detail. Claims submitted without this diagnosis code will be denied. (3) Providers and billing staff should review the CSV fee schedule file to identify any codes affecting their practice specialties.
