Summary
Effective January 15, 2025, MassHealth now allows Indian Health Services facilities to bill for up to five medically necessary visits per person per day, rather than the previous single visit limitation. Each visit must include a MassHealth service covered by the IHS all-inclusive rate.

Immediately: IHS facilities billing MassHealth must update their billing systems to allow multiple visits per person per day (up to 5 visits maximum).
