Summary
MassHealth requires all enrolled home health agencies to register with Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) systems within 30 days and meet compliance thresholds for auto-approved verified visits. Claims edits will be implemented by July 2026 to only pay claims with corresponding EVV entries.
Action Required
By June 1, 2025: Home health agencies must register with Sandata EVV system or approved Alt-EVV system within 30 days of this bulletin. Billing teams must ensure all home health visits are properly documented in EVV system to meet auto-approved visit thresholds. Failure to register will result in sanctions up to contract termination.
