Summary
Massachusetts MassHealth is implementing Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements for ABI and MFP Waiver providers in a three-phase rollout. Providers must register with Sandata within 30 days, meet compliance visit monitoring thresholds, and prepare for claims edits starting July 2026.
Action Required
By August 1, 2025: ABI/MFP Waiver providers must register with Sandata EVV system or approved Alt-EVV system for Personal Care, Home Health Aide, Supportive Home Care Aide, Skilled Nursing Services, and home-based PT/OT/Speech Therapy services. Use Provider and Vendor Self-Registration Portal at https://evv-registration.sandata.com/. Meet auto-approved visit percentage thresholds during Phase 2 monitoring. Failure to register will result in administrative sanctions up to termination of MassHealth Provider Contract.
