Summary
UPMC Health Plan is transitioning provider activities from Provider OnLine to a new secure portal called UPMC Health Plan Tapestry Link. Starting December 1, 2026, providers will use Tapestry Link (accessed via single sign-on through Provider OnLine) to submit authorizations, appeals, Prescription for Wellness referrals, and member assessments. Appeals submissions through Tapestry Link begin January 1, 2027. Providers with existing Provider OnLine access will automatically be granted Tapestry Link access.
Action Required
By December 1, 2026: Billing team and authorization staff must transition to using UPMC Health Plan Tapestry Link for submitting authorizations, Prescription for Wellness referrals, and member assessments through the new secure portal. By January 1, 2027: All appeals to UPMC Health Plan must be submitted through Tapestry Link instead of Provider OnLine. Before December 1, 2026: Staff should review training materials available on Provider OnLine and ensure all relevant team members (billing, authorizations, appeals) have access to Tapestry Link via single sign-on. Failure to use the correct portal may result in delayed or rejected submissions.
