Summary
Maryland Medicaid is transitioning from ePREP to a new Provider Enrollment portal in October 2026, with phased holds on enrollment applications beginning July 1, 2026 for high/moderate risk providers and August 1, 2026 for limited risk providers. Providers must wait until the new system launches to submit new enrollments, revalidations, or account changes.
Action Required
By June 30, 2026: Complete any pending provider enrollment applications, revalidations, or account changes in ePREP before the phased holds begin. Credentialing staff must plan ahead for the enrollment freeze period from July/August 2026 until October 2026 when the new portal launches. Monitor mdh.providerenrollment@maryland.gov for updates on the new system launch.
