Summary
Connecticut Medicaid is updating the Preferred Diabetic Supply Product List (PDSPL) effective October 1, 2026. Pharmacies must dispense only preferred NDCs listed on the updated PDSPL and submit claims with those specific NDCs via POS in NCPDP D.0 format. Claims submitted with non-preferred NDCs will be denied.

By September 15, 2026: Pharmacy billing team must access www.ctdssmap.com and download the updated Preferred Diabetic Supply Product List from Pharmacy Information → Preferred Drug List Information → Diabetic Supplies Preferred Product List. Update pharmacy dispensing system and billing software to restrict diabetic meter, test strip, and lancet NDCs to only those listed on the new PDSPL. Configure POS system to reject claims containing non-preferred NDCs in NCPDP D.0 format. Train pharmacy staff on preferred product requirements. Beginning 10/1/2026, any claims submitted with diabetic supplies NDCs not on the updated PDSPL will be denied by Connecticut Medicaid.
