Summary
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Montana has established a new BlueCard Executive escalation process for high-value, aged claims. Providers who are members of the Provider Multidistrict Litigation Settlement Class can now escalate specific BlueCard claims that meet dollar amount and aging criteria directly to a senior-level executive for resolution.
Action Required
Immediately: Billing team should identify any open BlueCard claims meeting the escalation criteria ($1M+ aged 45+ days, $500K+ aged 60+ days, or $300K+ aged 90+ days). For eligible escalations, email the BlueCard Executive with claim number, member ID, date of service, patient name and pertinent details. Verify practice is a member of the Provider Multidistrict Litigation Settlement Class before using this process.
