Summary

This policy clarifies the correct procedure for entering suspension end dates in the LTC Online Portal's Individual Movement Form (IMT). The suspension end date must be entered as one day BEFORE the person's return to service date to ensure service authorizations are created correctly and billing begins without delays. This is a critical data entry requirement for HCS/TxHmL providers and LIDDAs to prevent billing hold-ups.

Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Billing and administrative staff entering data into the LTC Online Portal must update their IMT form completion procedures. When a patient returns to HCS/TxHmL services, enter the Suspension End Date as one day prior to the Return to Service date (not the same day). For example, if return date is 08/15/26, enter suspension end date as 08/14/26. Reference Field 43 on the IMT form and pages 17+ of the Individual Movement Form Item-by-Item Guide for detailed guidance. Failure to enter the correct suspension end date will result in service authorizations not being created and billing delays.
