By September 1, 2026: Billing team must update billing software and claims submission rules to block submission of CPT codes 80320-80377 to Ambetter Health plans. Create mapping documentation identifying the appropriate G-series bundled laboratory codes as replacements for each discontinued CPT code. Communicate the transition plan to laboratory staff and providers who perform or order definitive drug testing. After October 1, 2026, any claims submitted with CPT codes 80320-80377 to Ambetter will be denied. Verify all Ambetter claims with drug testing procedures are recoded to the corresponding G-series bundled codes before submission.
