Summary
Effective September 1, 2026, Arkansas Department of Human Services has expanded Medicaid coverage to include Remote Patient Monitoring services for CNMs, Nurse Practitioners, and Physicians serving female patients in diagnosis group 2011. Five new CPT codes (99091, 99453, 99454, 99457, 99458) are now reimbursable across three contract types (CNMW, MEDSV, NURSP).
Action Required
By August 31, 2026: Billing team must update billing software to recognize and process CPT codes 99091, 99453, 99454, 99457, and 99458 as covered services under Arkansas Medicaid contracts CNMW, MEDSV, and NURSP for female patients (gender F) with diagnosis group 2011. Update encounter forms and templates to enable providers to bill these codes. Configure billing system rules to map these codes to the correct contracts and gender/diagnosis restrictions.
