Summary
Effective Feb. 28, 2026, TRICARE Prime Remote eliminates all copayments for covered prescription drugs filled through TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery and retail network pharmacies for active duty family members. Maintenance drug filling rules continue to apply. Billing teams must stop collecting copayments for affected TRICARE Prime Remote members starting on this date.

By Feb. 28, 2026: Billing team must update billing system and pharmacy interfaces to reflect zero copayment for all covered drugs for TRICARE Prime Remote beneficiaries. Configure system to suppress copayment collection at point-of-sale for TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery and retail network pharmacy claims. Update patient communication materials and copayment schedules to reflect the waiver. Front desk and patient service staff should be notified to inform members of the copayment elimination. Verify maintenance drug rules are still enforced in the system. Failure to remove copayments will result in incorrect patient billing and potential compliance issues with TRICARE.
