Summary

Comagine Health replaces KEPRO Inc. as Oregon's Independent Qualified Agent (IQA) for behavioral health services effective July 1, 2020. This affects prior authorizations, utilization review, eligibility determinations, and functional needs assessments. Providers should continue submitting authorizations to KEPRO until the transition is complete.

Action Required

Action needed
By June 30, 2020: Billing team must identify all behavioral health prior authorization workflows currently routed to KEPRO Inc. and prepare to transition to Comagine Health on July 1, 2020. Monitor for additional guidance from Oregon Health Authority (OHA) expected in May 2020 detailing transition procedures and new contact information. Update prior authorization submission protocols, contact lists, and system configurations to route all behavioral health fee-for-service authorizations to Comagine Health effective July 1, 2020. Continue directing requests to KEPRO until OHA provides explicit transition instructions. Contact Alise Campbell (alise.v.campbell@dhsoha.state.or.us, 503-983-6080) for transition-specific questions. Failure to update authorization routing after July 1, 2020 will result in claim processing delays and potential denials.
