Summary
The Oregon Health Authority is requesting that home health agencies submit their most recent audited Medicare Cost Reports (FYE 2018 or 2019) by August 5, 2020, to support calculation of updated fee-for-service home health rates for calendar years 2021-2022. This is a data collection requirement specific to Oregon Medicaid home health providers and does not directly affect billing codes or clinical workflows for most practices.
Action Required
By August 5, 2020: Home health agencies operating in Oregon must identify and submit their most recent audited or Medicare-submitted Medicare Cost Report (likely FYE 2018 or FYE 2019) to the Oregon Health Authority. Specifically, extract and send Worksheet H-3 (for hospitals) or Worksheet C, Part I (for non-hospitals) via secure email to saundra.mitchell@dhsoha.state.or.us. If your agency does not submit by the deadline, OHA will use the most current report already available to them for rate calculation purposes. This submission is primarily the responsibility of CFOs and home health agency administrators, not the billing team, unless billing departments maintain these reports.
