Summary
Oregon Health Authority (OHA) is reducing the demographic data variables shared with Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) from 176 to 108 variables across REALD & GI (Race, Ethnicity, Language, Disability & Gender Identity) domains, effective April 16, 2025. This change removes unused calculated variables to improve data efficiency while maintaining CCOs' ability to deliver culturally appropriate care and quality improvement initiatives. Sexual Orientation data remains unavailable in this update.

No direct action required for billing team. This is an informational notice regarding demographic data sharing between OHA and CCOs. Billing teams should be aware that CCO reporting systems and quality metrics may reflect changes in available demographic data after April 16, 2025. If your practice receives reports or quality measures from CCOs that rely on REALD & SOGI data, monitor for any system updates or revised reporting formats.
