Summary

Oregon Medicaid is postponing the due date for the CY 2026 Annual Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (FWA) Prevention Plan from April 30, 2026 to a date to be determined (TBD). The state will provide at least 90 days advance notice of the new deadline along with guidance documents and reporting templates. This affects Coordinated Care Organizations (CCOs) contracting with Oregon Health Plan.

REQUIREMENTS: - No immediate action required at this time. - Billing/compliance team should monitor email from OHA CCO Operations and Quality Assurance team (HSD.QualityAssurance@odhsoha.oregon.gov) for the new FWA Prevention Plan due date announcement. - When OHA notifies of the new TBD date (expected at least 90 days before the deadline), update internal compliance calendars and assign responsibility for completing the Annual FWA Prevention Plan and Assessment Report per contract requirements in Ex. B, Part 9, Sec. 14, Para. a and Ex. B, Part 9, Sec. 19, Para. d. - This communication supersedes the December 1, 2025 notification that set the original 4/30/2026 deadline.
