Summary
MO HealthNet has launched a new online form for resolving managed care claim issues with their Managed Care Liaisons. Effective immediately, providers can submit billing disputes, claim denials, and eligibility issues online with supporting documentation. Beginning September 1, 2026, online submission will be required for all requests unless extenuating circumstances prevent it.
Action Required
By September 1, 2026: Billing team must transition all managed care issue submissions to the new online Managed Care Provider Resolution Support Request form. Before submitting, staff must attempt resolution directly with the health plan (Healthy Blue, Home State Health, Show Me Healthy Kids, or United Healthcare). Update internal procedures and staff training to use the online form for all future requests. After September 1, 2026, paper submissions will no longer be accepted unless extenuating circumstances justify an exception. Document the new escalation process: Standard issues receive responses within 10 business days; urgent member services issues requiring immediate action receive responses within 72 hours. If no response is received by the deadline, contact MHD.MCCommunications@dss.mo.gov. Failure to use the online form after the September 1 deadline may delay claim resolution or result in rejection of submissions.
