Action Required
By 2026-06-26: Billing team must update claim denial protocols to automatically reject or flag claims for CPT codes 0351T, 0352T, 0353T, 0354T, 0422T, 0689T, 0690T, 76391, 76981, 76982, and 76983 when billed to Aetna plans. Configure billing system to deny these codes as non-covered experimental procedures with standard denial message referencing CPB 0386. Update provider communications and encounter form templates to clarify these procedures are not covered by Aetna. Train front desk and authorization staff to inform patients these procedures are experimental and not covered before scheduling. Failure to implement will result in claim denials and patient balance issues.
