Summary
Indiana Health Coverage Programs (IHCP) will require all home health agencies to be enrolled with Medicare starting July 1, 2026. This affects existing and new IHCP-enrolled home health agencies (provider type 05) who must complete Medicare enrollment through PECOS or paper CMS-855A applications.
Action Required
By July 1, 2026: Home health agencies enrolled with IHCP must complete Medicare enrollment through PECOS online system or paper CMS-855A application. Contact Palmetto GBA at 855-696-0705 for Medicare enrollment assistance or Gainwell Technologies at 800-457-4584 for IHCP assistance. Agencies must also obtain certification survey from Indiana Department of Health or approved accrediting organizations (ACHC, CHAP, or The Joint Commission). Failure to complete Medicare enrollment will affect IHCP participation status.
