Summary
IHCP has resolved a claim-processing system issue affecting Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinics (CCBHCs) for 590 Program members. Claims that were incorrectly denied with EOB code 2033 (Invalid claim type for the program billed) are now being reprocessed. Providers should expect to see corrected fee-for-service claims on remittance advices beginning August 26, 2026.
Action Required
By August 26, 2026: Billing team must monitor remittance advices (RAs) for reprocessed claims related to the 590 Program CCBHC services that were previously denied with EOB code 2033. Verify that fee-for-service (FFS) claims now appear correctly on RAs instead of denials. Reconcile any payment discrepancies between original denials and reprocessed claims. Contact your IHCP Provider Relations consultant if reprocessed claims do not appear as expected or if discrepancies are identified. No workflow changes are required; this is a system-side correction.
