Summary
Maryland Medicaid is transitioning from the ePREP enrollment system to MPRIME (Maryland Provider Registration and Information Management Enterprise), going live in October 2026. Effective immediately, providers must use three new enrollment resource URLs. Additionally, effective July 16, 2026, ePREP applications denied after three return-to-provider notices will be denied and must be resubmitted in MPRIME, with backdated effective dates available (July 1, 2026 for Moderate/High-risk; August 1, 2026 for Low-risk providers).
Action Required
By October 2026 (MPRIME go-live): Billing team and provider enrollment staff must transition all provider enrollment activities from ePREP to the new MPRIME system. Immediately: Update all internal documentation, bookmarks, and enrollment workflow links to the three new Maryland Medicaid URLs (Provider Enrollment Page, MPRIME Resources Page, and Provider Enrollment Requirements). All staff handling provider enrollment must review the new webpages regularly for announcements, training materials, and implementation guidance. By July 16, 2026: Be aware that any ePREP applications currently pending and returned to provider three times will be automatically denied; these must be resubmitted in MPRIME in October 2026. Ensure providers understand that denied applications resubmitted in MPRIME are eligible for backdated effective dates. Register staff for upcoming MPRIME training webinars and review quick reference guides available on the MPRIME Resources Page before the October 2026 launch.
