Summary
IHCP (Indiana Medicaid) now allows separate outpatient reimbursement for CPT code 96041 (genetic counseling) effective April 1, 2025. The system will automatically reprocess eligible claims, and providers can also resubmit claims manually.
Action Required
No immediate action required. Claims with DOS on or after April 1, 2025 will be automatically reprocessed starting September 3, 2025. Alternatively, billing team can manually resubmit FFS outpatient claims for CPT 96041 with appropriate revenue codes. For claims beyond original filing limit, attach this bulletin and submit within 180 days of July 29, 2025.
