Summary
IHCP has corrected a system issue that incorrectly limited psychiatric procedure codes 90785 and 90840 to 20 units per provider per year. The unit limit was removed effective July 6, 2023, and claims will be mass adjusted/reprocessed starting October 1, 2025.
Action Required
Beginning October 1, 2025: Billing team should monitor remittance advices for mass replacement claims with ICNs beginning with '52' for codes 90785 and 90840. No immediate action required - IHCP will automatically reprocess affected claims with dates of service on or after July 6, 2023.
