Summary

Aetna has established a new medical policy (CPB 1035) for Rozanolixizumab-noli (Rystiggo), a neonatal Fc receptor blocker for generalized myasthenia gravis. The policy requires precertification before treatment, restricts prescribing to neurologists, and establishes specific clinical criteria including antibody positivity, MGFA classification II-IV, MG-ADL score ≥5, and documented failure of at least two immunosuppressive therapies or one immunosuppressive plus IVIG over 12 months. Billing teams must implement prior authorization workflows and track the new HCPCS code J9333.

Action Required

Action needed

Claims submitted without valid precertification will be denied.
