Summary
Effective October 1, 2026, Point32Health is implementing duplicate billing logic that requires providers to submit all services performed on the same date of service on a single claim, using the quantity field to report multiple units of the same procedure rather than submitting multiple claim lines or separate claims. Services billed more than once for the same procedure code and date of service will be subject to payment reduction, duplicate review, and potential denial.

By September 30, 2026: Billing team must implement the following changes: (1) Update billing software to consolidate multiple units of the same procedure code on a single claim line using the quantity field instead of allowing multiple claim lines for identical procedures on the same date of service; (2) Configure system to flag and prevent submission of duplicate procedure codes across multiple claims for the same date of service; (3) Update internal billing guidelines and training materials to require providers and billing staff to report all services from a single date of service on one claim; (4) Modify claim submission workflows to validate that duplicate procedures are consolidated before claim transmission. Providers should cease submitting multiple claim lines or separate claims for the same procedure code performed multiple times on the same date of service. Failure to comply will result in claim denials, payment reductions, and duplicate claim reviews. If a duplicate denial is received, submit a corrected claim with consolidated units rather than resubmitting the original claim.
