Summary
MDwise will no longer participate as a managed care health plan for HIP and Hoosier Healthwise effective January 1, 2026. Members must select a new MCE (Anthem, CareSource, or MHS) by December 24, 2025, or will be auto-assigned.
Action Required
By December 24, 2025: Front desk staff must identify all patients currently enrolled with MDwise HIP or Hoosier Healthwise plans and direct them to call Enrollment Broker at 877-438-4479 (HIP) or 800-889-9949 (Hoosier Healthwise) to select new MCE. Billing team must verify which remaining MCEs (Anthem, CareSource, MHS) the practice participates with and inform patients accordingly. Update patient records with new MCE assignments starting January 1, 2026. Continue using existing IHCP EVS for eligibility verification - member ID numbers will not change.
