Summary
IHCP has corrected system issues that were incorrectly denying birthing center claims (provider type 08, specialty 088) with dates of service from January 1, 2024 onward. The system has been fixed and affected claims will be automatically reprocessed or mass adjusted, appearing on remittance advices with ICNs beginning with 80 or 52.
Action Required
Immediately: Monitor remittance advices for reprocessed birthing center claims with ICN/Claim IDs beginning with 80 (reprocessed denied claims) or 52 (mass replacements).
