Action Required

Action needed
Immediately: Billing team must update DME/HME rental tracking systems to reflect the new 10-month capped rental period instead of 15 months for all Indiana Medicaid patients. Review all DME/HME rentals from January 1, 2025 forward to identify equipment that has reached the 10-month threshold and should now be considered purchased. Update billing software rules and review pending claims for compliance with the new rental cap.
