Summary
Effective Jan. 1, 2026, MDwise is no longer available for HIP and Hoosier Healthwise members, and their NEMT services have switched from Modivcare to WellTrans. Members are now assigned to Anthem, CareSource, or MHS with WellTrans providing transportation services.
Action Required
Immediately: Update patient records for HIP and Hoosier Healthwise members previously assigned to MDwise - verify their new MCE assignment (Anthem, CareSource, or MHS). Update NEMT referral processes to use WellTrans instead of Modivcare, including new phone numbers: Anthem-WellTrans (844-772-6632), CareSource-WellTrans (844-607-2829), MHS-WellTrans (877-647-4848). Train staff on new transportation broker contacts.
