Summary

US Family Health Plan (USFHP) administrative operations are transitioning from Point2Health/Tufts Health Plan to Brighton Marine effective January 1, 2027. All providers must establish direct contracts with Brighton Marine and verify credentialing status before the transition. Claims for dates of service prior to January 1, 2027 will be processed through April 30, 2027; after that date, Signature Performance will handle all claims processing.

Action Required

Before Jan 1, 2027
REQUIREMENTS: - By December 31, 2026: Billing team must verify your practice's contract status with Brighton Marine by contacting ProviderTeam@brighton-marine.org. If not currently contracted, submit contracting application immediately to remain in-network for USFHP. - By December 31, 2026: Verify all individual providers in the practice are credentialed with Brighton Marine. Providers currently credentialed through Tufts Health Plan Commercial for USFHP will be auto-accepted through their recredentialing date; all others must submit new credentialing applications to Brighton Marine. - Effective January 1, 2027: Update billing system to route all USFHP claims for dates of service on or after 1/1/27 to Signature Performance (Brighton Marine's claims processor), not Tufts Health Plan. - Through April 30, 2027: Continue processing pre-1/1/27 claims through Tufts Health Plan as usual; ensure claims are filed by April 30, 2027 deadline. - After April 30, 2027: All USFHP claims must be submitted to Signature Performance. Claims filed after this date will be denied if they are for DOS prior to 1/1/27. - Ongoing: Monitor USFamilyHealth.org/for-providers/ for updated Provider Manual, new credentialing instructions, and demographic update procedures. CONSEQUENCES: Practices without Brighton Marine contracts will be removed from USFHP network. Claims submitted to wrong processor or after deadlines will be denied.
