Summary
BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina launched an enhanced My Provider Enrollment Portal 2.0 on June 9, 2025, introducing electronic signature capability for provider enrollment documents. The billing team must understand the new e-signature workflow, critical email address entry requirements, and the 21-day deadline for completing signatures to avoid application cancellation and re-enrollment delays.
Action Required
By August 22, 2025 (within 7 days of policy publication): (1) Billing and enrollment staff must review the BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina My Provider Enrollment Portal 2.0 training materials and understand the new e-signature workflow. (2) Establish internal procedures to ensure correct email addresses are entered in the correct portal fields for all enrollment application types (Practitioner Credentialing Contact, Fiduciary Contact, etc.). (3) Create a tracking system to monitor e-signature email receipt and completion status, noting that reminder emails arrive every 7 days for up to 21 days. (4) Add calendar alerts for the 21-day deadline—applications cancelled after 21 days without complete signatures require full re-application. (5) Instruct all staff to recognize and NOT delete emails from echosign@echosign.com (Adobe Acrobat Sign), noreply@salesforce.com, or noreply.mypep@bcbssc.com as these are legitimate e-signature and system notifications, not spam. (6) Update enrollment checklists and provider communication templates to reflect the new process. Failure to comply will result in application cancellations, enrollment delays, and loss of revenue.
