Summary
South Carolina Blues is reminding providers of the ongoing 90-day provider demographic validation requirement mandated by the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA). Providers must validate or update their demographic data every 90 days using M.D. Checkup in My Insurance Manager (MIM), or their locations will be suppressed from provider directories. Directory updates occur within two business days of successful validation.
Action Required
By the 90-day anniversary of your last validation date: All providers and practice administrators must log into M.D. Checkup in My Insurance Manager (MIM) and complete demographic data validation. Steps: (1) Log into MIM, (2) Select 'Validate Now' in the purple 'Provider Validation' box, (3) For each location with status 'Verification Required' or 'Suppressed from Directories,' select 'View & Edit,' (4) Review and edit information as needed, (5) Select 'Verify.' Billing team should track validation dates for all practice locations and set calendar reminders at 85 days to ensure timely compliance. Failure to validate within 90 days will result in suppression from South Carolina Blues provider directories, making practice locations unavailable to members and potentially impacting patient access and claims processing.
