Summary
CMS now requires all Medicare SNP providers to complete annual Model of Care (MOC) training. UPMC Health Plan has developed an online training module accessible at upmchp.us/snpmoc for their SNP product (UPMC for Life Complete Care). This is a mandatory annual compliance requirement, not a billing or clinical change.
Action Required
Immediately: All providers participating in UPMC for Life Complete Care (HMO-SNP, formerly UPMC for Life Dual) must complete the Model of Care (MOC) training annually. Providers should visit upmchp.us/snpmoc and register using their tax identification number. Billing team should verify that SNP-participating providers have completed this training before processing claims for SNP members. Failure to complete mandatory training may result in loss of SNP participation and claim processing delays.
