Immediately: 1) Billing team must identify all TIROSINT-SOL claims processed for the 27 recalled lots and flag them in the billing system for review. 2) Provide providers with the full recall list from IBSA Pharma and UPMCHealthPlan to verify patient prescriptions. 3) Contact pharmacy vendors to ensure recalled lots are not dispensed. 4) For any claims already submitted for recalled lots, prepare to hold or deny claims pending provider notification of alternative therapy. 5) Update internal communication channels to alert front desk, billing, and clinical staff of the recall. Failure to stop billing for recalled lots may result in claim denials and patient safety issues.
