Summary
Beginning January 1, 2026, UPMC Health Plan will offer HelpScript manufacturer copay assistance enrollment services to eligible patients on select plans with specialty medications. This is a patient benefit and provider support service that helps reduce out-of-pocket costs for eligible specialty drugs. Billing teams should be aware that patients may reference this program and should direct inquiries to HelpScript Patient Advocates at 1-833-813-8234.
Action Required
By December 31, 2025: Inform clinical and administrative staff about the HelpScript copay assistance program availability effective January 1, 2026. Ensure patient-facing staff and providers can direct eligible patients to HelpScript Patient Advocates at 1-833-813-8234 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.). No billing workflow changes are required; this is a patient benefit notification. Note: Patients with secondary government insurance (Medicare, Medicaid) are not eligible for these manufacturer copay assistance programs.
