Summary

All providers must revalidate their enrollment in Pennsylvania Medicaid programs (MA, UPMC for Kids/CHIP, and Community HealthChoices) for each service location every five years. Providers must check revalidation due dates in PROMISe™ and submit applications at least 60 days before expiration to maintain active enrollment and billing eligibility.

Action Required

Action needed
IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED: At least 60 days before each provider's five-year revalidation due date: All providers in Pennsylvania must log into PROMISe™ (Pennsylvania's Medicaid Management Information System) to verify their revalidation due dates for Medical Assistance (MA), UPMC for Kids (CHIP), and Community HealthChoices (CHC) at each service location. Billing team must track revalidation deadlines for all enrolled providers and send reminders to providers/practice management at least 75 days before due dates to ensure 60-day submission buffer. Submit revalidation applications through PROMISe™ before the deadline. Failure to revalidate before the due date will result in loss of active provider enrollment status and claim denials for all three programs.
